This Black family’s living room becomes a stage for storytelling, music, and conversation. At its heart is The Interact Show, a talk show within the production where pressing issues take center stage, inviting audiences into a space of reflection, connection, and transformation.

Hey family! I’m Rokya. A director and producer born and raised in Harlem, NY where I met Nasir in middle school. My vision is to show the beauty and dignity of the human spirit. I want my work to serve as a reminder that we are all connected and that the uplift of one, is an uplift of us all. When I’m in need of comfort, I love rewatching
Hey family! I’m Rokya. A director and producer born and raised in Harlem, NY where I met Nasir in middle school. My vision is to show the beauty and dignity of the human spirit. I want my work to serve as a reminder that we are all connected and that the uplift of one, is an uplift of us all. When I’m in need of comfort, I love rewatching the Harry Potter movies (I’m a Hufflepuff, iykyk :) I also love to watch, listen, and see anything that moves me whether through tears or laughter. And I believe you can find a story anywhere. Through NewScope, I am building a community of creators and neighbors who enjoy content that makes them feel and think expansively.
